Designed, constructed, repaired and improved properties in Croatia, Manhattan, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Montana, and Oregon. Proficient with all current stationary, power, and hand tools and practiced with a wide range of paint and tile processes.

 

CARPENTER, Ponderosa Builders

january 2007 –  december 2009 | bozeman, montana

Constructed two homes in Bozeman’s historic district. Implemented foundation form work, rough framing, setting windows, exterior trim and soffit, siding, decking. Took charge of wood flooring installation, interior trim, crown moulding, construction of built-ins, mantles, and finish staircase work as well as well as paint preparation and miles of oil-based brush work.

Designed and fabricated a wide variety of projects such as steel gates, theater ceilings,

wood and steel conference tables, various signage, Airstream trailer remodel and point of purchase displays. Supervised laborers, delegated tasks, and maintained project efficiency.

Instructed advanced architecture students; planned, built, and critiqued designed furniture. Demonstrated safety standards of cabinet shop machinery, joinery and finishing techniques. Organization and installation of student gallery shows.

Setting up a new computer oriented shop. Oversaw hand build projects, operation and maintenance of vintage woodworking machinery.

1995 – 1996 | kohler, wisconsin

Liaison between visiting artists and the factory floor in Kohler’s iron foundry. Provided material and technical iron casting expertise to visiting artists. Responsible for facilities orientation and maintenance of equipment. Developed and produced a body of work informed by the artistic and industrial context of Kohler.
